Region Zealand consists of 17 municipalities and is placed in the eastern part of Denmark. Region Zealand’s vision is to create the best framework for sustainable growth and quality of life for its citizens. One way to do that, is to invest in the food sector. Food has a strong business potential in all parts of Region Zealand and helps to connect the region’s business community together. Region Zealand is focusing on the development of the food sector with three main areas: 1. Research and innovation, 2. Experiences and 3. Public-private cooperation.
Region Zealand is the contact region on food projects in Greater Copenhagen. Greater Copenhagen is a cooperation initiative between Skåne, the Capital Region and Zealand, with the objective of generating growth and employment throughout the Greater Copenhagen area. Greater Copenhagen is known for producing quality products and to act as a dynamo for the food industry in the entire value chain from farm to fork.
