Collaboration between corporate and startups is difficult but will ultimately both scale the small enterprise and provide the big player with opportunities – not only within innovation but also marketing, business development, M&A, digital development and HR.
That was the conclusion at the Corporate Innovation event by Danish Food Cluster and Accelerace as a part of the International Food Week DK. Attorneys Bech-Bruun was hosting the afternoon containing presentations, pitch from 6 startups and matchmaking, and where Open Innovation Manager in Arla Foods, Cecilia Lindstöm, shared advice on working with startups as a corporate. Her insights included:
- Be specific on the challenges the startups must adress
- Be patient – the capabilities for working together needs to grow on both sides
- Promote the collaboration internally and see all the colleagues involved in the collaboration as ambassadors
