Danish Food Cluster has together with three others central organisations within the food and bioresource industry, come up with a proposal for a merger. A new organisation, same focus on members.
Four organisations, who all work with innovation within the food and bioresource industry, have come together to work out a proposal for a merger. In addition to Danish Food Cluster, this includes the organisations Agro Business Park, Nordjysk FødevareErhverv and Videncenter For Fødevareudvikling (VIFU).
Focus on members
The merger proposal includes the establishment of a new organisation by the name of Food & Bio Cluster Denmark. Like Danish Food Cluster is today, the organisation will be driven by members, have a board chosen by the members and work with a focus on company needs. Supported by the Danish Food Cluster board the proposal will be presented on the general assembly of Danish Food Cluster on March 5th.
Better, bigger and more for the members
“The more, the merrier”.
The same saying explains some of the ideas behind merging the four organisations.
- The four organisations united will be able to give the members an even better service
- A joint organisation will make it easier to navigate in the jungle of opportunities and ensure offers all over Denmark
- With the political decision to simplify the Danish Executive Board for Business Development and Growth (erhvervsfremmesystem) in Denmark, only one cluster per strength position, such as the food area, will be able to obtain co-financing
During the coming months, the individual boards of the four organisations will present the proposal at their individual general assemblies.
